Design Assistance & ESI
At Connor, we support our customers early in the development cycle through a structured Design for Excellence (DFX) approach—covering manufacturability, assembly, cost, quality, and performance. While we don’t design the product itself, we help optimize it for how it will be built. Through our Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) process, we work closely with customers during the concept and pre-launch phase to recommend the most effective material, appropriate production process, and design adjustments that reduce risk, improve performance, and speed up time-to-market. Because Connor is vertically integrated across multiple manufacturing processes—stamping, molding, welding, CNC machining and bar forming—we can tailor part designs to match functional needs, not just the equipment we have. By engaging early, we reduce costly design changes, shorten launch cycles, and improve part performance—all while helping customers bring products to market faster and smarter.
