Connor has been involved with the Renewable Energy industry for over 5 years, helping our customers to bring their products to market quicker and at less costs. Most applications we have found have been with deep drawn components such as end caps, CPV and concentrators.

Machined component redesigned as a stamping

One of our Solar customers came to us with a machined component that was costly and difficult to produce in high-volume. Our team of engineers worked closely with them to redesign this part into a complex deep drawn metal stamping. A 24-station progressive tooling capable of meeting strict CPK requirements was designed to produce the component. Not only did this provide a significant cost-savings, but it also helped our client to meet the growing production demands. At present, our production capacity exceeds 2 million parts per month and the drawn components are sold at a fraction of the original cost.
